Megan Martin
London, England

Megan Martin is a 21-year-old graduate of political science from the University of Saskatchewan. She is starting her Masters Degree at the London School of Economics, in Comparative Politics. Much of her background is with environmental organizations, and in 1995 she worked with UNEP as a community outreach coordinator for the Global Youth Forum in Berkeley, California. Besides school and work, Megan loves to write short stories, and she is an avid runner.

Megan's area of key interest is human rights. She is a member of the World University Service of Canada, board of Directors, and her graduate work will focus on human rights theory. She took part in a 1994 CIDA pilot program through Lester B. Pearson College - a study in North Vietnam in 1994. Living there affected her greatly, and she hopes to do some research in the same area for her academic work next year.
