WINNING IDEAS TO STOP RACISM 1995

Challenge yourself. Find out who you are.
Find out who "they" are. See the world through different eyes.
Sound like a challenge to you? Well, it is a challenge!
One that each and every one of us must take.

Winning Ideas To Stop Racism is a selection of students' work chosen from
the thousands of excellent ideas entered from across Canada in the
1994 Together, We're Better! contest.

The contest encourages you to engage in a journey of self-exploration and to ask yourself
some important questions about the impact that racism has on us all.
Through your participation in the contest,
we hope that you'll develop ideas about how to create
a strong multicultural and anti-racist environment in your school.

The contest was inspired by The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination which falls every year on March 21. This single day each year provides a focus for positive action for racial equality, but don't forget...it's up to you to help stop racism every day.
